In this tutorial, we’ll be showing you how to set up windows 10 to have multiple tabs in the file explorer.
When you’re done with this setup. You ‘ll have windows 10 tabs in the file explorer.
Step 1.
Download Explorer Tabs by visiting the download page:
Step 2.
Unzip the download and read the “read me.txt” file for all the details about the setup.
Step 3.
Run Explorer Tabs as admin and it will automatically open a new window and place all your existing windows explorer windows into it.
You can now freely move the tabs around by clicking and dragging them.
When you’re done using explorer tabs. You can right click on the tray icon and click exit to go back to using your normal explorer windows.
You can increase your speed by using hotkeys such as Ctrl+T for New Tabs, Ctrl+W for Close Tab, Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab to cycle through tabs. Ctrl+N for a new window. Middle mouse click the tab to close it. Ctrl+Drag a tab to duplicate it. Or Middle mouse click anywhere in the title bar to create a new tab!
